A free dance lesson (with admission) in smooth Lindy with professional dance instructor Janice Eklund starts at 7:00pm. The dancing starts at 8:00pm.
Saxophonist, clarinetist, jug blower, bass saxophonist, composer, and arranger Jonathan Doyle is a local treasure, who strives to organize and be a part of bands whose music is rooted, yet distinct. He played on the grammy nominated album “Willie and the Wheel” with Willie Nelson and Asleep At The Wheel. A local Phenom.
Vocals/Ukulele/Cornet: You don't have go to Seattle to hear the sweet baritone of the one and only Casey MacGill. Casey is described as, Nat "King" Cole Trio meets the Mills Brothers. It is American music of many decades and no decade in particular, all happening at the same time, woven into a seamless, beautiful whole.
Jazz guitarist, banjo player, and arranger based in Vancouver, B.C., Josh has performed across the world for the Lindy Hop and swing dance communities and including Camp Jitterbug, the Northwest Balboa Festival, Balhalla and others. He is an extraordinary player in the swinging jazz styles of the 30's and 40's.
Seattle professional bassist Nate Parker brings impeccable timing, and musicality to dance and listening audiences all over the world. He's played with many of the best bebop and jazz groups and featured in Jazz Northwest venues and KPLU 88.5 Radio. Nate is a solid timekeeper and melodic soloist.
This is a smoke-free and scent-free dance open to all ages.
