Powerful Tools for Caregivers

Here's help for those taking care of a friend or family either in person for from a distance. A six week workshop to help you get through the holiday season. It is free to those unpaid caregivers who are taking care of someone age 60 or older either in person or through others.

A class for family caregivers

Powerful Tools for Caregivers is an educational program designed to help family caregivers take care of themselves while caring for a relative or friend. You will
benefit from this class whether you are helping a parent, spouse, friend, someone who lives at home, in a nursing home, or across the country.

This class series meets once a week, on Fridays, for six weeks. Class will NOT meet the Friday after Thanksgiving.
Class size is limited, and registration is required.

About this Event

By taking care of your own health and well-being, you can become a better person and caregiver. Six class sessions held once a week are led by experienced class leaders. Share what you have learned as well. Class participants are given The Caregiver Helpbook to accompany the class and provide additional caregiver resources.

The class will give you tools to help:

- Reduce Stress
- Improve Self-Confidence
- Manage Time, Set Goals, and Solve Problems
- Better Communicate Their Feelings
- Locate Helpful Resources
- Make Tough Decisions
