September/October Art Show at Pippa’s Real Tea
Seven Jefferson County artists and a poet examine the environment through their personal lenses at a group show to be held at Pippa’s Real Tea.
The Art of the See: Viewpoints of Nature opens Saturday, September 7 during Port Townsend’s Art Walk. An artists’ reception featuring presentations, music and discussion is planned for Saturday, October 5 during Art Walk from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Curated by Jeannie McMacken, the show features her new abstract monoprints along with fresh poetry by Holly J. Hughes, landscape photographs by Gina Cox, newly-knotted macramé necklaces by Mary Chapman, contemporary art quilts by Caryl Fallert-Gentry, recent collages by Andrea Lawson, mixed-media work by Joyce Wilkerson and new oil paintings by Nancy Lucas Williams.
The exhibit is free and generously supported in part by a grant from the City of Port Townsend Arts Commission and by anonymous art friends.
Pippa’s Real Tea, 636 Water St., is open Wednesday through Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
