Concerts in the Woods: The Lasses
Sunday, November 10, 2019, 03:00pm

The Lasses on tour from Amsterdam, NetherlandsThe Lasses are Sophie Janna and Margot Merah, an Amsterdam duo singing traditional folk and original songs with intricate harmonies. They sing together like sisters. Songs from the Celtic and American traditions and beautiful original songs are brought with clear voices, heavenly harmonies and full hearts. The Lasses specialize in strong stories that speak to audiences now as much as when the songs were first written. With honest, effective arrangements on bodhrán and guitar, the beautiful blend of the women’s voices takes the center stage.

Location Laurel B Johnson Community Center, 923 Hazel Point Rd, Quilcene, WA, 98376
Coyle is a small, rural community at the end of the Toandos Peninsula, 14 miles south of the Hood Canal Bridge. It's a ferry ride plus an hour's drive straight west of downtown Seattle. Our pride and joy is the Laurel B. Johnson Community Center operated by the Jefferson County Parks & Recreation District. It's a beautiful wood and glass structure with wonderful acoustics. Since 2009 it has become a “destination” venue for music lovers. We currently host approximately two concerts per month all year around featuring the best of folk, Americana, singer/songwriter, Appalachian, bluegrass, Celtic, blues, country and more. The room has seating for 65+ people. These concerts are for all ages and are done on a by-donation basis. We always serve complimentary cookies and coffee at intermission to our guests. See: www.coyleconcerts.com for more information.
