Tubas, Laughter, & Song with the Pipia Sisters
Two Nights of Music & Merriment, July 26 & 27
These two concerts will send you home chuckling and tapping your toes. Friday and Saturday, July 26 and 27, at 7:00 pm, The Pipia Sisters entertain with an unforgettable evening of original music at Better Living Through Coffee, 100 Tyler Street in downtown Port Townsend. Concerts are by donation, and promise serious fun for audiences of all ages.
Playing an innovative instrumental mix from tuba to guitar, ukulele to accordion, the Pipia Sisters' unique brand of music is steeped in breathtaking harmonies and eloquent, surprising lyrics. Expect songs about sandwiches and elevators, the moon, the sun, and old bathrobes.
It's been four years since the Pipia Sisters have hosted one of their packed concerts at BLTC, and they are excited to be back, to share an evening of songs with their Port Townsend community.
"We're stoked to play another night of music at our all-time favorite coffee shop," says Phina Pipia, "its friendly vibes and comfortable atmosphere make the ideal place for a fun music event".
The Pipia Sisters are best known in Port Townsend for their fun-filled concerts, and their wildly original productions with the theater company Generation Goat Rocket. The sisters are fresh off a summer tour through Southeast Alaska, where they honed more of their original music.
"We've cooked up a very special night of songs for our Port Townsend friends," says Sophie Pipia, "our goal is always to provide something inspiring and unexpected, and this concert hits the spot,"
The perfect night out to celebrate the summer season, come to the Pipia Sisters' concert for an unforgettable evening of music and merriment.
