The Port Townsend High School drama students will present the iconic musical, CABARET on May 3rd, 4th, 10th, 11th, 17th and 18th at 7:00 pm and Sunday, May 12th at 2:30 pm in the PTHS auditorium. Directed by Jennifer Nielsen, this is the most ambitious musical presented at PTHS in many years.
Over 25 talented student actors and technicians have worked together since February to build the impressive set, gather the vintage costumes and props, and rehearse the scenes, songs and dances.
Tickets, available at the door, are $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for senior citizens and students and $3.00 for children under 12. While some productions of CABARET are extremely bawdy, Nielsen has worked with the students to tell the story with authenticity but tone down the sexuality. Still, a rating of PG13 is recommended because of the mature themes.
