COVID-19 Response Update: Community health is a priority for the Jefferson County Farmers Market Association. We worked with Jefferson County Public Health to create a health an safety plan during the Covid-19 crisis. The Port Townsend Farmers Market will open on Saturday, April 4 in a very small format with farm and SNAP/EBT eligible food offerings. We will remove the middle row of vendors, provide 10’ space between vendors , and eliminate the tables and benches to increase space for social distancing and remove commonly touched surfaces. We will provide hand washing and hand sanitation stations, regulate the number of shoppers at one time, have one entry and exit point, and conduct sanitation and cleaning of the market as well as the restrooms in the Community Center on an hourly basis. We are also working on creating an online ordering system where you will be able to purchase food from local farms.
