Presented in conjunction with Port Townsend Public Library’s Community Read for 2019:
Piano Tide – Kathleen Dean Moore
Piano Tide by Kathleen Dean Moore is a complex tale about life in a small Alaskan
village. Artists have been asked to respond creatively to: How do we live on this Earth?
With respect and a sense of reciprocity? With arrogance or anxiety? Do we feel empathy
or entitlement? What is our Response/Ability while we are right here, right now?
Deanna Pindell - creates ecologically-focused public art and has worked internationally:
Cambodia, Australia and Canada. She teaches studio art and art history, including
Northwest Coast Indigenous art history at Olympic College and Peninsula College.
Publications include Antennae: Journal of Nature in Visual Art.
The exhibition runs from February 28th through March 31sst.

Art Talk & Awards Ceremony by the Juror, Sunday, March 3rrd,1:00 p.m.
Exhibit hours are Wednesday through Monday, 11:30 – 5 p.m. Closed Tuesdays.
