Artist of the Month –
Gary Griswold at the Port Ludlow Sound Community Bank
Gary Griswold shares the wonder of the Pacific Northwest through his paintings, capturing the elements of nature for his audience. Griswold prefers painting outdoors in natural settings. He’s inspired by wind, temperature, and the scents of nature.
Jeweler of the Month –
Georganne Muse at the Port Ludlow Art League’s Gallery
Georganne collected semi-precious stones for many years and one day decided it was time to do something with them. As a result, she purchased a book on creating artisan wire jewelry. Georganne found the activity of turning colorful stones into striking jewelry pieces came naturally. Aside from creating beautiful artwork, Georganne found that the repetitive movements of wire-wrapping put her in a pleasing Zen-like state, which is reflected in her jewelry.
Port Ludlow Bay Club Exhibition –
Olympic Abstract Artists Group
Throughout the month of February, enjoy the dynamic and exciting work of the Olympic Abstract Artists Group at the Port Ludlow Bay Club.
Abstract art uses color, shapes, textures, lines, and patterns to design a composition that may creatively depict an actual image, idea, or pure imagination. The artwork on display covers a wide range of styles and techniques and represents the artists’ life-long pursuit of artistry and visual expression.
Exhibiting artists include Eleanor and Jim Watson Gove from Port Townsend, Joanie Klorer from Bainbridge Island, and Ann Gagnier, Georganne Muse, Pamela Raine, Jackie VanNoy, and Patricia Webber of Port Ludlow.
