Gurinda Chadha, the director of Bend it Like Beckham, peeks inside London’s Pakistani culture through the lens of a teenager obsessed with Bruce Springsteen songs.  “Today, the United States, as well as many countries in Europe, is facing renewed divisiveness and hate as it grapples with issues of immigration, racism, nationalism, and xenophobia. With this in mind, Blinded by the Light, Chadha’s exuberant new film, provides a most welcome respite.” –Alexandra Macaaron in “Women’s Voices for Change.”

Following the screening, join music-trivia buff and vinyl-record enthusiast, Chuck Moses, to learn more about Springsteen’s ongoing influence in music and culture.
