her techniques Wednesday, January 16, 7-9 PM.
Carolina Veenstra, long-time bookbinder & book conservator, is an expert
with paper and glue, which pretty much covers things when it comes to book
arts. The Northwind Book Arts Group is thrilled that she has agreed to talk
to their winter meeting,
She will share her experiences preserving and restoring a range of printed materials.
Her meticulous work is shelved in special collections at the Seattle Public Library, the
University of Washington Libraries, and in private libraries of collectors around the Northwest.
In addition to book conservation, she is an artist; examples of Carolina’s
creative work can be found at the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art and at
the University of Washington Libraries.
