Samara Jade and Band
Samara Jade, up until recently known as Searra Jade, is a musical seamstress, stitching together diverse influences from bossa-nova to blues. Whether she is singing about our modern times or timeless walks in the forest, her heartfelt wit gives voice to feelings of interconnection in a fast paced world. Samara migrated to the Appalachian mountains to study environmental science at Warren Wilson after studying guitar on scholarship at Berklee College of Music. A decade of immersion in the earthy traditions of homesteading and mountain music is now culminating in her third album, “Wave of Birdsong”, to be released to the world digitally on June 8th, her 30th birthday. Truly valuing community, inclusion and creative expression, each of Samara's performances brings the audience together in a harmonious and playful atmosphere.
