Christmas Services at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Port Townsend
Christmas Eve Posada and Family Service at 5 pm
The beloved Hispanic tradition – Posada – re-enacts the journey of Mary and Joseph to find lodging in Bethlehem. The tradition emphasizes the importance of welcoming the stranger. Posada pilgrims, including children, will travel between various locations on the church grounds and end in the historic St. Paul's sanctuary for a festive Christmas Eve worship. A reception following will feature the breaking of a piñata with goodies for all.
Traditional Christmas Eve services will follow at 7:30 and 10 pm, featuring Christmas carols and festive Eucharist.
Christmas Morning Service will be held at 10 a.m. with carols and Holy Eucharist. The 8 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. services on December 30th will feature lessons and carols.
All are invited. For more information, contact St. Paul's at 360-385-0770 or firstname.lastname@example.org. St. Paul's is located in uptown Port Townsend at the corner of Jefferson and Tyler Streets.
