Many of us have been or will be diagnosed with osteopenia or osteoporosis as we age. This class will offer information on and support for eating well, taking supplements to support our bones, doing the most effective exercises, and improving balance and reducing our risks of falling down and breaking bones. The emphasis will be on building strong bones, strong muscles, balance, and health. Please come prepared to do some basic exercises as you are able--wear clothes you can move in and shoes that won’t slip. Bring a filled water bottle to use as a weight and a non-slip yoga mat, if you have one. Also, if you can get it, bring a copy of your bone density report with the T-scores; I’ll help you understand what it means. The class will be geared toward women, but men do get osteoporosis, and all are welcome to attend.
