Hadlock Block Party

Mark your calendars this year’s Hadlock Block Party, coming up on Saturday, August 3rd. Presented by IDGAF, Dan Anderson Trucking, and MJ Trucking, the Hadlock Block Party is coordinated by representatives from local businesses, including Ferino’s Pizza, the Valley Tavern, The Station Signs, Kitsap Credit Union, Hadlock Building Supply, the Old Alcohol Plant, and the Rotary Club of East Jefferson County.

The event committee works year-round to produce a grassroots community event focused on neighbors coming together to celebrate the unique nature of Port Hadlock. Website:

The Rotary Club of East Jefferson County coordinates the parade, which begins at noon at Church Street and proceeds through the center of downtown Port Hadlock, ending at Christney Street. Parade participants are being actively solicited; see the website for details. Signups will be accepted through Saturday, July 27th.

Vendors will be centered near Ferino’s Pizza and Hadlock Veterinary Clinic, offering local events, food and other items for sale from 10am – 5pm. New this year will be music in the beer garden at Ferino’s, featuring a harpist in the morning and Buck Ellard playing two sets throughout the day.

The Valley Tavern will host a Keg Toss at 2pm, and then close out the evening with a performance by the infamous Dukes of Dabob, starting at 6pm.

The Old Alcohol Plant will host a Mustang Car show following the parade, plus BBQ and beer garden with music by the Eagle Mountain String Band 1-3pm. Later that night, Bread and Gravy will wrap-up their “Jefferson County Tour” with a performance in Spirits Bar & Grill starting at 7pm.

The Station Signs and Screen Printing, who helped coin the Block Party’s “We Are Who We Are” tagline, will again have event logo t-shirts available for purchase in their booth. Other activities include a rescue dog demonstration, a pie-face fundraiser, and programming by Discovery Bay Wild Bird Rescue & Search.

Seeking volunteers: If you would like to help the day-of the event, please contact Aislinn Palmer at to discuss open positions. Volunteers receive a free Hadlock Block Party t-shirt.
