All About E Bikes
Tuesday, November 06, 2018, 07:00pm - 08:30pm

On Tuesday, November 6, at 7 PM, at 236 Tyler in downtown Port Townsend, Pete Sexton will be discussing E Bikes: Options, Maintenance and More. He will include essential information that comes before making a purchase, as well as what comes after the purchase. Pete Sexton is the owner/manager of The Broken Spoke, 630 Water Street, in downtown Port Townsend.

Globally, about half of all bikes being sold today are E Bikes, or bicycles with a small electric motor that assists the cyclist in moving forward. Port Townsend is also seeing a surge in the number of E Bikes on the streets. Is an electric assist bike right for you? Mid drives, hub motors, throttles versus pedal power level assist and controllers are all choices and part of knowing how to select and maintain an E Bike. In addition to answering your questions, Pete will have a couple of examples for you to look at and stimulate specific questions.

This evening program, the fourth of a “First Tuesday” series, is sponsored by the Port Townsend Cycle School. The Port Townsend Cycle School is a new non-profit venture, created by a small group of cycle enthusiasts, to grow a culture of cycling, community, and cycle building and maintenance. Admission is free; donations appreciated.
