Creating on the Potter's Wheel with Jim Romberg, July 18-August 15
This workshops takes place at Wilderbee Farm, a lovely local working farm! Enrollment is limited but open to all levels, beginning to advanced.
This five-session class meets weekly for instruction on creating functional and sculptural ceramic work on the potter's wheel. This class will cover every aspect of working on the potter's wheel from centering, trimming, wheel thrown constructions, application of slips and textures, as well as glazing and firing. A select number of pieces will be bisque fired and glazed during the class. Lectures on contemporary and historic wheel thrown pieces will be presented.
