Class Contents - Qi Gong movements, Qi Gong Meditation and Theory Introduction
Qi Gong Movements
Heart Mind As One and Nature Gong are 2 sets of Qi Gong movements taught in the class series. The routine sequences are designed to stimulate Qi flow in the meridians. Practiced regularly, these routine movements aim to strengthen the muscles, “soften” the joints and develop flexibility, and improve ailments, bodily function and quality of life.
Qi Gong Meditation
The Nine Turns Qi Gong meditation will also be taught in the class series. The quiet practice does not involve any physical movement or holding poses. You will learn a Qi flow pattern in the body and use your mind to guide Qi flow through out your whole body. This meditation technique trains the mind and develops concentration, creates deep relaxation and mental clarity. A calm mind and a relaxed body are able to nurture Qi. When the Qi is in harmony, it creates physical, mental and emotional balance.
The sessions will include a basic introduction of the Five Elements and the Meridian System theories to help make Qi Gong movements and meditation more meaningful and effective.
