Jewelry Group ShowIn June the Port Townsend Gallery Presents Jewelry Group Show

Creating a story with enamel and  stone is how Addy Thornton views her neckpieces.  Various splashes of color on a finely patterned ring, Addy is exploring the qualities of glass. Thin strips of silver termed "cloisins" are fired into place to construct an image in her cloisonee earrings that are organic and elegant.  Black and white has its place and orca whale earrings lend themselves perfectly, with a fine silver framework to depict waves.

Shirley Moss, "The Chainmaker" has been making handmade chains for 47 years. Using precious metals she forms every link in a variety of chain styles for women and men. She considers it a meditation in metal.

Andrea Guarino-Slemmons will be featuring jewelry of the Northwest. Many of her creations are made from stones and beach glass found at our own north beach. This will include many rings, pendants and earrings from her precious finds. Along with these treasures Andrea will be featuring some new Raven pendants as well as her tree and fern pendants.

The Port Townsend Gallery at 715 Water Street is open from 10 to 5 Sunday through Thursday, and Friday and Saturday 10 am to 5 pm. Please join the artists for the Gallery Walk from 5:30 to 8 pm on Saturday, March 3rd. For more Gallery information, phone (360) 379-8110
