Port Townsend Main Street Program's Concerts on the Dock — Free All-Ages Summer Music Series at Pope Marine Plaza
July 12th – Locust Street Taxi
Locust Street Taxi is comprised of three musical geniuses and a trombone player. Skeptics may scoff, but there is no other way to describe a band that can make grandmothers smile, children laugh, baby-boomers dance, college students spend money, middle-school students take up trombone, brides and grooms dance to The Muppet Show theme song. I could go on all day, but then I would have to make some stuff up. The group’s live performances feature outstanding musicianship, well-crafted, memorable songs and an exuberance on stage which is infectious – rarely failing to engage audience members of all ages and backgrounds. LST is adept at developing a rapport with the audience and truly enjoys working the crowd.
