Learn all about active tectonics in the Puget Lowland from a 1-hour, illustrated presentation by Geologist Megan Anderson.
Only a few active faults were known to exist in the Puget Lowland near Port Townsend. But since the advent of LiDAR, geologists now understand where more active faults are lurking. Through geophysical analyses, they are determining exactly how likely these faults might create damaging earthquakes.
