On Thursday, September 12, Northwind Reading Series features Sierra Golden and Judith Adams. The readings begin at 7 pm in Northwind Arts Center, 701 Water St
Sierra Golden graduated with an MFA in poetry from North Carolina State University. Her manuscript The Slow Art won the Dorothy Brunsman Poetry Prize and was published by Bear Star Press in 2018. Golden's poems appear in literary journals such as Prairie Schooner, Permafrost, and Ploughshares. Although she calls Washington State home, Golden spent many summers in Alaska, working as a commercial fisherman. She now works in communications in Seattle.
Judith Adams is an English-born poet living on Whidbey Island. Judith has published four books of poetry and recorded several CDs of her work. She has two children's books published by Wynstone Press in England. Judith has taken poetry to patients at the Cancer Care Alliance, read at the Frye Museum, Bainbridge Island Museum, State Correctional Institutions, libraries, retreat centers and schools. Judith was selected for the Washington State Speakers Bureau for 2017-18 and again for another two years 2019-20.
