All Sounds Became Music
RainShadow Chorale begins its 2018-19 season with two performances, November 10 and 11. Once again the program will delight and amaze the audience with its expansive repertoire--lullabies and ancient chants, songs of nature and tender love songs, a Bach motet, folk songs and an opera chorus.
The program will give the audience the music of all sounds: tempests, winds, operas and chants, a parent’s tenderness, and the exuberant warbling of a cowboy. Artistic Director Rebecca Rottsolk says, “The program is Romantic in its concept--emotionally charged and intended to nourish, console, and inspire us all." Pianist Lisa Lanza works her magic on the piano scores, demonstrating once again the power of music to transport us to finer aspirations.
RainShadow Chorale is supported by the Port Townsend Arts Commission for this program.
