| Centrum, in partnership with Fort Worden State Park, is a gatheringplace for artists and creative thinkers from all cultures and in all phases of their development, students of all ages and backgrounds, and audiences seeking cultural enrichment. Centrum features full-immersion workshops that bring students together with the masters in the arts: including National Heritage Fellows, Pulitzer Prize winners, and Grammy winners. After these workshops, these masters take to the stage for public performances. Mainstage shows take place in McCurdy Pavilion. Smaller, more intimate performances and readings take place in the Joseph F. Wheeler Theater, as well as in the club venues of downtown and uptown Port Townsend. Centrum's arts and education programming includes youth workshops; dance intensives; Port Townsend Chamber Music Festival; Port Townsend Writers' Conference; Jazz Port Townsend; Port Townsend Country Blues Festival; and the Centrum Creative Residency Program, which provides residencies for artists in all disciplines. | |
