Community Read & Discussion: Before the Wind, by Jim Lynch
Wednesday, March 22, 2017, 01:30pm - 03:30pm

The novel, Before the Wind, has been chosen for a Community Read by the Port Townsend Public Library. Associated events include readings and a visit by the author, Jim Lynch. Jim’s fourth novel is a funny, big-hearted story about a gifted and volatile family. It’s about sailing, online dating, and Albert Einstein. Set in Seattle, Victoria, and Olympia, much of the novel unfolds on the water in this two-decade odyssey of the Johannssen family. Jim Lynch, lives and sails in Olympia with his wife, Denise and daughter, Grace.

Please borrow the 289-page paperback book locally from the Library or purchase at Imprint. We will discuss pp. 1-95, up to the “Family Pig Pile” chapter, the first week. Jeanette Richoux (360-379-4895 or jrichoux63@gmail.com) is an active member of the Adult Learning Programs, and former teacher who had great fun leading discussions of last year’s Community Read.
