The Uptown Street Fair coordination is under the auspices of the Port Townsend Main Street Program, a 501c3 nonprofit. The Main Street Program has long connection with this wonderfully eclectic event. Staff and Main Street volunteers have helped coordinate the publicity for Uptown Street Fair events since the first event. Thanks to the Uptown Street Fair Planning Committee: Jeanne Moore of Potpourri NW Interiors, Donna Harding of The Port Townsend Arts Guild, Mari Mullen of the Port Townsend Main Street Program, Christel Hildebrant of The Uptown Pub, Sandy Spencer of Lively Olive Tasting Bar, Bickie Steffan of Bickie's Cotton Casuals and Helen Gunn, of the Gallus-Rutz Building. Special thanks to Wallyworks Construction, the City of Port Townsend and The Great Port Townsend Bay Kinetic Sculpture Race. The 2016's poster features original art by Uptown artist Michael Hale; it is printed by Printery Communications.

The Arts Guild uses the monies raised by the booth fees to fund college scholarships in the arts for our county students as well as other cultural events. This year, the Port Townsend awarded scholarships to Nicola Pieper and Taylor Cerna both from Chimacum High School. We also gave $2300 to Jefferson County Food Bank in 2015.
